April Ball attended New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM on a music and soccer scholarship and graduated with a B.A in Music Performance (piano & voice). She has had over 20 years of teaching experience with young children ages 3-17, as well as group adult classes and private lessons.
April started playing the piano at the age of six under the tutelage of Mary Jobe and Flora Russo and was a 1st and 2nd place scholarship recipient at age 11 and 12. In high school, at the request of her private teacher, she auditioned and became a part of the Young Razzcals Jazz Project Directed by Dave Adams. They produced several records on which April was a vocalist, and they appeared as guest artists at the prestigious Telluride Jazz Festival. She also found an interest in composing and has written over 30 pieces.
April is also a professional actor having worked on stage, film and television. Currently she is a resident actor and teaching artist with Play Conservatory and just closed Children of Eden playing one of the Principle roles: Eve & Mama Noah. She sings and plays keyboard in the professional Indie Folk Rock band Wild Humans. April continues to study voice under Carol Jennings (Grammy Award Winning Singer in The Phoenix Chorale), as well as acting with various classes and instructors.
April is a native of Albuquerque, NM and for the past 6 years has lived in Phoenix, Tucson and the island of Oahu.
